France Forever

From July 16-19, 1942, members of the Brotherhood of Railway, Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and Employees gathered in Denver, Colorado, to conduct the business of their union. Sometime during that week, convention delegates gathered in front of their hotel for a group photo.
The "France Forever" poster behind the unionists reveals just where America was in the war: a few months post Pearl Harbor, France fully in the hands of the Germans (since 1940), with victory still years away.
This poster, along with others that would be produced by the government in the coming months and years, would serve to mobilize the American public in the fight against fascism.

France Forever was an association lead by frenchs and french
sympathizers. It was linked with the France Libre with the General de Gaulles. So this poster is not in any way linked with the US government, unlike the many others on the same period. The 'free french' mean that they are talking about 'free France' (France Libre) which was the french government hosted in the UK and lead by the General de Gaulles and which was opposed to the government of Vichy.
There's a mention about France Forever in Wikipedia FR article about Eugène Bullard (first black fighter pilot).
I hope you will take my comments in considerations as I think we should do our best to keep history the more accurate.
