Potential New Evidence on WW2 Sex Slaves
A Japanese journalist reported that new findings from the Dutch government archives included evidence that the Japanese military police forced women to work as sex slaves during WW2. This finding is a significant development in the series of events triggered by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's Mar 2007 statement that there is no concrete evidence for such practice during that period of Japanese history. Among the documents uncovered is a testimony of a 27-year-old Dutch woman who claimed that, in 1944, she had her clothes ripped off by Japanese military police and was subsequently forced to work in a brothel in Java.
