Wreck of Jantina Found

On 5 Jul 1941, Italian submarine Jantina was torpedoed and sunk by British submarine HMS Torbay, killing 42 of 48 aboard. The submarine sank to the bottom of the Aegean Sea south of the island of Mykonos, Greece. It was recently announced that, on 3 Nov 2021, the wreckage was discovered at the depth of 103 meters (338 feet) by a team led by Kostas Thoctarides, using a remotely operated underwater vehicle. The identity of the wreckage was confirmed by the Italian Naval History Office.
