An uncle I never met survived the Bataan death march. Gen. Wainwright was captured also, and after his return was CO @ Ft. Sam. My mom was his secretary.

"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

The Bataan death march is painful for me to even think of. I was not old enough to be in WW11. Several in my family fought in it. In printing my family history I have tried to give accounts and thanks to those who saved us from the horrows of war.
