Wellington production at Chester Hawarden/Broughton peaked at 130 aircraft per month in 1942. This Wellington Mk.1C (the main production version of the Mk.1 with a crew of six and fitted with beam machine guns) would be a part of the batch of 550 ordered by Vickers and delivered between August 22, 1940 and June 1941. The Chester plant turned out 5,540 of the 11,461 Wellingtons built.
