FLY EURASIA: TICKET TO 1930's ADVENTURE
Photograph of Junkers Ju 52 EU-XVII c/n 5140 aircraft, at one time it was operated by Lufthansa as "Otto Kissenbreth" D-AGES.
Lost on May 6, 1939 during Japanese attack on Hanchung airfield, a/c was strafed EU-XVII took hits and burst into flame total lost. Insignia on tail blue disk w/Chinese twelve-pointed sun and bird.
WHAT AVIONICS: BACK IN THE DAY
Winging it flying in 1930's China was dangerous due to changing weather and lack of modern airports and support facilities. Most flights were VFR over the country with limited IFR abilities.
This was before Radar, GCA, DME, GPS, ALS, ILS LOAN and Computers. Pilots and crews were real professionals they were men of great skill and flying knowledge of that day...
