The Paratrooper at the far left of the above photo ( behind the tall officer )is Raymond Wadsworth my neighbor and my friends Dad. A few days after landing in Normandy he had his left leg blown off from the knee down ( possibly mangled and then removed surgically? )by a German grenade. He was a GREAT guy! Tragically, he died during an open heart surgery at the age of 48. Not too many are made of the 'stuff' of which he was made.
