CARRIED-BASED FIGHTER:

Vought F4U-7 Corsair of Flotille 14.F, Aeronavale
14. F 15 shows heavy ware note exhaust stains running length of fuselage and ware on leading edge of wing, camouflage dark sea blue.
Ninety-four (94) were built for the French Navy and assigned for close-support and attack role squadrons, 12.F, 14.F, 15.F and 17.F the French received a total of 163 Corsairs (94) F4U-7's and (69) AV-1's developed from the F4U-5 airframe armed w/4 x 20mm cannons w/230 rounds per gun also carried rockets and bombs. The F4U-7 was retired from French Naval service in September 1964
