I have been very interested to read this account of the Barce Raid; because as a bandsman in the Royal Scots Geys regiment, I was stationed at the barracks in Barce for three years.Strangely enough, neither I, or my fellow bandsmen had ever heard about the wartime history of the barracks. The Barce Raid or the the attack on the Benina airfield. The bravery of the men who participated in these exploits was tremendous!!
