• USAAF B-24 and B-25 bombers conducted anti-shipping sweeps off the Chinese coast between Fuzhou and Hong Kong. Japanese convoy KAI-311 was attacked, and Aikoku Maru No. 12, Kokoku Maru No. 37, Tarumizu Maru No. 18, Tarumizu Maru No. 34, Coast Defense Vessel No. 66, and transport Masajima Maru were sunk.
