ww2dbaseBrixia Model 35 light infantry mortars entered service with the Italian Army in 1935. They were each operated by a crew of two men, and skilled crews could fire up to 18 rounds per minute with reasonable accuracy, although the usual firing rate in action was between 8 and 10 in order to avoid damage. These weapons were costly to manufacture. During WW2, a typical Italian Army infantry battalion would possess 9 Brixia Model 35 mortars, and they were generally divided among three mortar platoons. These weapons saw action in all theaters which saw Italian participation. Many of them were also used by anti-German Italian partisan fighters between 1943 and 1945. They were retired from service in early 1950.Source: Wikipedia ww2dbase
