ww2dbaseBy design, the Type 95 75 mm field guns were more crude than their Type 90 predecessors, the reason being that the Japanese were looking for field guns that were cheap to manufacture and easy to maintain on the front lines. These new guns were designed by the engineers at the Osaka Arsenal, which also produced all 261 examples of this weapon starting in 1935. They saw combat mainly in China, and were used through the end of WW2.Source: Wikipedia ww2dbase
