ww2dbaseThe Royal Hellenic Navy of Greece purchased the USS Mississippi (BB23) and renamed her Kilkis. She remained in service of the Greek Navy until sunk by German JU 87 dive bombers on 23 April, 1941 in the port of Salamis.

r u sure your information is correct?according to janes ww1 fighting ships,this ship was completed in march 1919,it had a length of 600ft,beam of 97 1/2 ft and a draft of 31 ft,sorry if my info incorrect but ive been reading ww2 stories/history for years and didnt know greece even owened battleships and decided to do abit of research of my own,regards j
