Greenling Operational Timeline

4 mai 1942 USS Greenling sank Japanese armed merchant cruiser Kinjosan Maru 100 miles north of Truk, Caroline Islands at 1825 hours, killing all aboard.
16 mai 1942 Zuikaku, escorted by Ushio and Akebono, departed Truk, Caroline Islands. At 1600 hours, USS Greenling detected Zuikaku.
5 ago 1942 USS Greenling sank Japanese troopship Brasil Maru (more than 200 of the 600 aboard were killed) and freighter Palau Maru 450 miles southwest of Guam, Mariana Islands.
21 fev 1943 USS Greenling departed Brisbane, Australia with Australians and New Britain natives on board; they were to serve on New Britain as coast watchers.
1 mar 1943 USS Greenling dropped off Australian and New Britain natives at Cape Orford, New Britain. They were to serve as coast watchers.
2 mar 1943 After nightfall, USS Greenling unloaded supplies off Cape Orford, New Britain for newly deployed coast watchers.

I was reading up on the history of SS-213 Greenling. My father Humberto "Bert" Celaya served on her durning WW2. My dad passed away in 1988.
