ww2dbaseKiro Honjo was born in 1901. He was a graduate of the University of Tokyo in Japan. He was the lead engineer of Mitsubishi Heavy Industry's G3M and G4M bomber designs. After the war, he designed commercial aircraft, the Mitsubishi Jyuji-gou bicycle, and gliders. A glider of his design won the inaugural Japan International Birdman Rally in 1977. He passed away in 1990.
