ww2dbaseJisaku Okada was a career navy officer who was exposed to naval aviation early on in his career. With prior command experience with the seaplane carrier Notoro and the light carrier Ryujo, he was assigned the fleet carrier Kaga in Sep 1941. During the Battle of Midway, a dive bomber's bomb landed close to or squarely on the bridge of Kaga, killing Captain Okada.
