Guess the topic of photo #7,000 and win a link

30 Jul 2009

The World War II Database website will be 5 years old by the end of this calendar year. Before that milestone is reached, another milestone is approaching: The WW2 photo gallery will soon hit a stunning 7,000 photographs! On a whim, WW2DB has decided to host a little game with the site's Facebook community, letting the site's fans guess what the topic of photo number 7,000 will be. Could it be of the battleship Yamato? Or perhaps German infantrymen rushing with their rifles? Or possibly General MacArthur speaking with his lieutenants? Give it a try, it'll be fun!

To submit your entry, please visit WW2DB's Facebook Community and become a fan. Next, visit the discussion thread for the contest and post your entry.

Whoever comes closest to the actual photo will get a link to a WW2 website of their choosing from WW2DB for a month. It could be your website (in that case, a link from a site like WW2DB may be fairly valuable!) or simply a history related site or forum that you frequent and would like to share with fellow WW2 history enthusiasts. So give it a guess! And as always, thanks for your continual support for WW2DB!
