Red disc within National Insignia, along with stripes on rudder, date this as prior to May 1942.

Curtiss Model 75 purchased by the U.S. Army Air Corps were given the designation P-36. One of the three Y1P-36 prototypes is shown here on a test flight. The first production aircraft was delivered on April 20, 1938.
