My father, John H. McElroy, a U.S. Navy Chief Machinist, was ordered to "Report for temporary duty at Puget Sound Washington in connection with the fitting out of USS Louisville and on board when commissioned." He was there from Jan. 1931 until Jan. 1934. I have a photo of him which others have suggested may have been taken on board the Louisville during that period, and wonder if I could post it to see if it looks likely to others who were familiar with the Louisville. Thanks!

Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill
