Good photo of a Amiot 143 on finial approach,
notice the aircraft didn't have any flaps
built into its design, the large wings, gave the Amiot 143 good lift, and had ailerons that ran the length of the wings.

My guess the Amiot 143 is comming in for a landing, a takeoff would show the aircraft in a greater angle of attack. But than again,
I've been wrong before.
