The aircraft is a B-24 Liberator that was probably Mrs. Roosevelt’s transport to the island. At right is Miss Coletta Ryan, American Red Cross Supervisor of the South Pacific Area who was accompanying the first lady. With his back the camera on the left is Army Major General Maxwell Murray.
