This picture shows this aircraft skidding on the deck prior to this scene. I do not think they are of the same incident as the first one clearly shows the prop blades bent and the one above shows (the x2 in shot) straight with the tip missing off one

This photo shows damage to the plane’s right wing from crashing into the 5-inch gun mount abaft the island before spinning around into the island as seen here. Also note the dislodged engine. The pilot, Ens Frank T Long, and both crewmen were uninjured. The plane was stripped of guns and useable parts and jettisoned. This view also offers a good look at the different levels and catwalks in the island.
Several sources date this photo as 19 Jun 1944 during the Marianas Turkey Shoot but squadron records only show one TBM lost to a deck crash during this period and that was 15 Jun 1944 after a raid on Chichi Jima.
