Thank you for posting this. My grandmother and mother lived in Kelemes CZ. I know nothing about the where my mother's home is because the names were changed. I am trying to find out where her home was which was the only home standing from all the bombing. My mother was starving and ate only rotten potatoes that fell from the truck she survived but barely and suffered a life long pernicious anemia and mental disabilities like ptsd. My mom and grandmother left to the US and became US citizens. I'm very interested in this history because I grew up seeing the destruction it did to my mom. My brother and I are the only ones left and have no idea of any family because they either stayed in Czechoslovakia or died in the concentration camps. I have been looking for Kelemes for a lifetime so I can see where they lived, this site was the first time this village was mentioned and I'm so grateful. I would like to see so much more about this village and what happened. My mother, Helenka Kec-cova would play in cemetery while soldiers were being buried. She would bury her doll then come back the next day to unbury the doll in hope the soldiers would be also unburied and alive. She never was able to write her story that she wanted and I think it would have helped her. There is so much denial about Hitler. I hope I can find more pictures of her village, Kelemes, or Kelemis, in Praha. Thank you very much for the great work on this story, it is incredibly informative and useful in letting some of those who care and know what our families went through.
