ZEROS (1) CORSAIRS (0): LIVED TO TELL THE TALE
The F4U Corsair was a powerful fighter with its
6 x .50 caliber machine guns. However, In the hands of a veteran pilot, the A6M Zero was still a deadly combat aircraft.
Zero pilots would use the 7.7mm machine guns for ranging, and get in close with the 20mm cannons. This action didn't say the type of zeros that were in the dogfight.
Could it have been the older A6M2-21, or Model 22(Zeke)maybe even the A6M3 Model 32 (Hamp)and A6M5 Model 52 (Zeke)
