THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY:
Kawanishi N1K1-J Model 11,Shiden "George" fighter being tested by TAIU-SWPA. Aircraft was captured and tested only at Clark Field in the Philippine Is. in 1945 and never shipped to Australia.
The N1K1 was built by Kawanishi in November 1944 and assigned to the IJNAF, 201st Kokutai, that was
stationed at Clark Field or Mabalacat,and carried tail number 201-53, aircraft later captured by U.S. Forces January 1945, test flown by TAIU-SWPA assigned tail number S-7, but only the number 7 was applied. Aircraft was later scrapped along with other Japanese aircraft captured at Clark.

Several Japanese aircraft was rebuilt and tested at Eagle Farms, Australia.
