The Imperial War Museum identified the escort carrier as HMS Khedive, but HMS Khedive operated only Hellcat fighters during the war.

DEEP SIX CORSAIRS:

At the end of WWII many lend lease corsairs were dumped overboard. Airworthy fighters just thrown away. A few years later in Korea, those fighters could have been very useful.
Those aircraft should have been returned to Uncle Sam as they were only borrowed. In any contract, there must have been some small print somewhere
I'm only guessing here...
