IN ENEMY HANDS:

The Japanese captured a number of Curtiss P-40's
most of which were still in shipping crates in Java.
Aircraft were later shipped to Japan tested and evaluated. At one time the Japanese considered at one time using the captured P-40's into a home defense squadron. Photograph taken of one of the survivors at Atsugi, Japan 1945. Aircraft to the left of the P-40, is a Mitsubishi A6M2, Model 21 Zero w/folding wing tips
