Kawanishi N1K1-J Model 11 George from the Genzan Air Group is shown with 400 liter drop tank. Of interest is the lack of blast tubs for the cowl-mounted 7.7mm machine guns, this aircraft could be a N1K1-Ja through Jc. Aircraft is armed with four wing mounted 20mm cannons.

Sirs
Your photographs are outstanding. Your identifications unfortunately not. case(s) in point: N1K operated by CPO Koji is an n1k1- Ja Koh. Please note low mid-wing and 20mm gun pod. Photos 1&2 showing n1k2-J are incorrect. Please note low mid-wing, oil cooler port side, scissor folding landing gear, and twin cannon in each wing (-Jb Otsu). Those A/C are N1K1-Jb's. That is all to date. Keep up the great work.
