This aircraft (42-73016) was the first bomber in the 7th Air Force to reach 100 missions. This photo was taken showing the crew just before their last mission:
Seated on hood-1Lt Francis Pouls, pilot
Drivers seat-SSgt Richard W Martin, ball turret
Passenger seat-2Lt Stephen J Coffey, bombardier
Beside car with foot on ground-TSgt Lloyd G Rainbolt, engineer/top turret
Behind driver-SSgt Don G Hallman, tail gunner
Behind passenger-SSgt William B Gannon, nose gunner

OKAY MACK, WHERE WAS I, HO YEAH AND THERE I WAS YOU TOLD US THAT STORY LAST WEEK. THOSE GIs LOOK LIKE NCOs. HAVE A FEW STAFF SERGEANTS, A STARGENT FIRST CLASS. DID THEY RETURN HOME AND LIVE LONG PEACEFUL LIVES..AND THEY DID RETURN HOME TO A THANKFUL COUNTRY
