Note torpedo davit at the far left of the photograph. Also note the oil mark on the aft stack, indicating the depth of her sinking on 5 May 1942. at left, and torpedo reload box alongside the after smokestack. The drum stowage, canvas over forward torpedo mount, and canvas over No. 1 gun were American additions after the wreck was salvaged. Finally, a small American boat with "14" mark could be seen docked to Kikuzuki.
