Saw photograph of this aircraft B5M "Mabel"
in front of Mitsubishi Co.Hanger, character
on tail could be for a prototype/development
aircraft, but this is only my guess.

Aircraft looks like its in natural metal w/black engine cowling w/black scallops from engine to foward of cockpit, red scallops on landing gear leg.
If anyone understands Japanese I would like to know what the character means.

Mitsubishi B5M1 "Mabel' aircraft operated by
Suzuka Kokutai tail number Su-331 was a training unit. Aircraft were fitted to carry
250kg/500lb bomb. I was close on this one the tail marking, was a development/training unit.
