Messerschmitt Bf 110D-3 code (L1+CH) in
formation with another aircraft,from 1./NJG-3
operated in the Mediterranean theater area
Catania, Sicily, Argos, Greece.

Aircraft are painted overall black,white band
is Mediterranean theater marking.

I./NJG 3 Operated in the Mediterranean
theatre for about eight months in 1941.

The Bf 110's were painted black this was
the first color painted on Luftwaffe night-
fighters.
The white marking on back of the fuselage
was used for identification.
