Oops! made a mistake, the word wares should be spelled wears, and lieutenant, I should have caught that.
Members of all the German police formations
carried semi-automatic pistols. Police were issued captured pistols from the occupied countries, even revolvers were issued, when the supply of pistols became limited.
Walther P-38, PP, PPKs, and Luger's even some older Mauser C-96 Broomhandle pistols
were issued. Captured Belgian, Czech and other semi-auto pistols were used.
These Security police used submachine guns MP-40, older MP-38, the MP-34 even the 98K rifle. For added firepower, crew served machine guns like the MG-34 and the MG-42 and captured weapons from the occupied countries were used.
As a last resort, Security police could call
on army and SS units with armored vehicles and its artillery. This type of force would be called called "Over Kill", but I'm sure it happened.

ACTUNG! ONE OF THE BIG FISH, MEETS A LITTLE FISH.
HIMMLER HELD THE RANK OF SS-REICHFUHRER HE
WARES THE BLOOD ORDER RIBBON ON HIS RIGHT BREAST POCKET, AND THE OLD FIGHTERS CHEVERON ON HIS RIGHT SLEEVE.
HE COULD BE ARMED WITH A WALTHER PPK, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. HIMMLER HAD MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF PISTOLS, ONE OF HIS PISTOLS IS NOW ON DISPLAY AT THE WEST POINT MILITARY MUSEUM.
THE OFFICER BEHIND HIM IS A SS-BRIGADEFUHRER
(MAJOR GENERAL), AND HE ALSO WARE THE OLD FIGHTERS CHEVRON. THE OFFICER ON HIMMLER'S LEFT, IS AN SS-2ND LIEUTENATE, NEXT TO HIM IS AN (SD) STURMBANNFUHRER (MAJOR).
THE ENLISTED MAN STANDING AT ATTENTION IS A
SS-SCHARFUHRER (SERGEANT) YOU CAN TELL BY THE NCO LACE AROUND HIS COLLAR DENOTING RANK. HIS AWARDS ARE S.A. SPORTS BADGE AND WOUND BADGE.
THE OTHER OFFICER'S I CAN'T IDENTIFY, AS THEY ARE LOOKING ON AND NOT ABLE TO SEE ANY RANK.
THE CIVILIAN IS WEARING HIS NAZI PARTY BUTTON I DON'T KNOW WHAT POSITION HE HELD AT THIS CAMP.
NOTE*
THE SS-RANK OF OBERSTURMBANNFUHRER IS THAT OF
LT. COLONEL
