I'm surprised that a youg man in the 1940's would be wearing two rings on his little fingers, are you sure it's not a mock up photo?

Not from the Library of Congress with the photographer listed and all, but yes a very good point about the rings. They were worn a lot then like they are now though.

Wind tunnel model of B-25. Looks like this worker or designer is planning where to attach a torpedo or external fuel tank, anyway that's my guess.
Wind tunnel models were used to test various aircraft designs, make modifications before production aircraft were built. Most of the models were made of wood or other composite material. During its production run, the
B-25 was also able to carry a 2,000lb torpedo
on racks under the wings or fuselage.
