In April 1942 until May 1943 my father, Staff Sgt Medcalf (Royal Engineers), was seconded to a USAF airbase in north Burma with the job of keeping it operational while it was under constant air attack. The purpose of the airfield was to supply the chindits. I believe there were around 5 of these airfields. Do you have a map identifying where they were, and their names?
