I don't believe this is the 204th AAA Auto Weapons Headquarters Battalion. The pom code colors dont seem to align with any 204th AAA units and I believe the 204th arrived at Omaha Beach on the 19th of June not Cherbourg on the 25th of July. Also I believe this is the HMS Twickenham.

My father, David Kent, is second from right descending the stairs and looking at the camera. This is the arrival of the 204th AAA Auto Weapons Headquarters Battalion arriving to set up camp in Cherbourg where they would remain until 1 Sep 1944.
