Made a mistake US losses were (10) aircraft and (12) aircrew out of the attacking force. I was looking at to many different notes. Keep telling myself, Bill you gotta proof read...

MONSTERS OF THE SEA: SUPER YAMATO
Did you know that the Imperial Navy had plans for a "Super Yamato Class Battleship" at over 83,000 tons armed with 20 inch (508mm) main guns. However, no 20 inch guns were ever found at wars end, and no further effort was carried out, due to the changing war situation.
One can only guess the caliber of the secondary armament and added numbers of anti-aircraft weapons. Information about Hull numbers 798 and 799 are limited, both hulls were abandoned in 1942. Maybe another reason was that the Empire was running out of resources to support such huge ships...

is there any surviving blueprint of IJN YAMATO?? Ireally like this battleship
