Balkan Pact

ww2dbaseOn 9 Feb 1934, four nations on the Balkan Peninsula Greece, Turkey, Romania, and Yugoslavia signed the Balkan Pact in an attempt to maintain the status quo in the region. The four nations agreed to suspend all disputed territorial claims against each other and each of their own neighboring countries. The pact was set to expire in 1938. The four nations were collectively known as the Balkan Entente.

ww2dbaseItaly, Albania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and the Soviet Union were all invited, but refused, to join the pact.
