ww2dbaseThe St. Croix Airfield in the Virgin Islands of the United States was the home of 12th Bombardment Squadron of the 25th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Forces, which flew flights patrolling area waters against Axis submarines; the squadron operated B-18 Bolo bombers. US 22nd and 23rd Fighter Squadrons, flying P-40 Warhawk fighters, were also assigned to St. Croix for defense. After the war, it became the civilian Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, after a Tuskegee Airman.

31 May 1941 US 22nd and 23rd Fighter Squadrons, both operating P-40 Warhawk fighters, was assigned to St. Croix Airfield, US Virgin Islands.
8 Nov 1941 USAAF 12th Bombardment Squadron began anti-submarine operations from St. Croix Airfield in the US Virgin Islands.
10 Nov 1942 USAAF 12th Bombardment Squadron ceased anti-submarine operations from St. Croix Airfield in the US Virgin Islands.
